I love you too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky let his head drop sideways on Hutch\u2019s shoulder and let out another long breath.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch kissed the top of Starsky\u2019s head. \u201cRelax. Will ya? Just relax.\u201d He caressed Starsky\u2019s arm. \u201cCome on, lie down, put your feet up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky slid down along Hutch\u2019s torso and rested his head on his lap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cCome on, feet up!\u201d Hutch urged.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky obliged with a sigh. He turned on his back and dragged his bare feet onto the couch, staring at the ceiling and still avoiding Hutch\u2019s eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cRelax. Pleeeeease?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIf you tell me to relax once more, I\u2019ll punch ya in the face.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cThat\u2019s my boy,\u201d Hutch smiled tenderly and started stroking Starsky\u2019s hair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They hadn\u2019t made love in what felt like an eternity. It had been a week since Hutch had been able to rescue Starsky from the clutches of the Simon Marcus cult. He still had no idea how they had abducted Starsky right from the courthouse. In broad fucking daylight. His face hardened at the thought and his eyes narrowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The change in his lover\u2019s face did not escape Starsky\u2019s notice. \u201cPenny for your thoughts?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cBastards.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cYeah,\u201d said Starsky and snuggled his head deeper into Hutch\u2019s lap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They sat in silence for a while, Hutch tenderly stroking Starsky\u2019s hair, his other hand resting on his chest. He could feel Starsky\u2019s heartbeat slowing down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Those fucking bastards, thought Hutch. He still hadn\u2019t made any progress on the case. Starsky had been off work since the events and hadn\u2019t left his apartment once. While Hutch was in the office or out and about in the city, Starsky kept the door securely locked and had his gun within reach. It was there on the coffee table now. All shiny, new and loaded. A whole lot of fucking good his gun did him last week, thought Hutch angrily. The kidnappers had taken Starsky\u2019s old gun, which hadn\u2019t been found yet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch was coming round every day to look after his partner. He bought groceries and cooked for him, although Starsky didn\u2019t eat much. He really needed to get his strength back, Hutch thought and decided to cook the Paul Muni Special for Starsky the next day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">His thoughts were interrupted by Starsky, who stroked the hand on his chest. \u201cI\u2019m so sorry\u2026\u201d he began again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cStarsk, please!\u201d whispered Hutch and put his fingers on Starsky\u2019s lips.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It wasn\u2019t that they made love every single night. There were nights spent alone, each in his own apartment. But it had been more than two weeks now, and Hutch could feel the pressure mounting. His yearning for his lover\u2019s body lying on top of him. Feeling his weight. He didn\u2019t want Starsky to know how much he needed the physical relief; he didn\u2019t want to stress him out even more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But it was particularly painful that Starsky had insisted on being alone every night, and had sent Hutch home right after dinner most evenings. Hutch was as accommodating as possible, but today, after dinner, as they sat on the couch, he had tenderly stroked the inside of Starsky\u2019s thigh. Starsky had become tense and had stopped Hutch from touching him. Hutch had put his arm around Starsky to reassure him of his love and that\u2019s when Starsky had started apologising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nevertheless, Hutch was grateful for their togetherness right now. Grateful for being able to hold Starsky\u2019s head in his lap. This was the first day since the abduction that Hutch was allowed to stay around after dinner any length of time. But these thoughts were suddenly interrupted with those words he\u2019d come to dread each night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cHutch, I need to be alone right now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ahhhh. Hutch\u2019s heart grew heavy. He had hoped so much that Starsky had finally gotten better. He stroked Starsky\u2019s chest and closed his eyes, breathing deeply in and out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d said Starsky again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cStop apologising.\u201d Hutch slowly slid out from under Starsky\u2019s head and stood up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky didn\u2019t move. He was still lying on his back, staring at the ceiling. Hutch gathered his shoes and tried to slip into them without falling on the coffee table. He caught himself on the couch with his left arm by Starsky\u2019s shoulder and his right just over Starsky\u2019s head, his face over Starsky\u2019s face. They looked into each other\u2019s eyes. Hutch gave Starsky a quick kiss on the lips and then straightened his back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cSee ya tomorrow, buddy,\u201d he said and moved towards the door. \u201cLock up behind me.\u201d He looked back at Starsky, who still lay motionless on the sofa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/solstice.starskyhutchcalendar.net\/2020\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/divider05.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The next day, Hutch decided to leave work early. Captain Dobey wasn\u2019t too pleased that there was still little progress in finding out how Starsky had been abducted from the courthouse, but he knew that keeping Hutch behind his desk just for the sake of it would achieve nothing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch went to the nearest grocery store to buy the ingredients for the Paul Muni Special. He realised that at this time of the day, there were only housewives out shopping. Well, he was sort of a housewife for Starsky now. And his nurse. Once Starsky would be back to normal, he thought, he\u2019d be all man again. And how manly he\u2019d be. He giggled to himself and an elderly lady beside him shot him some suspicious looks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When he got to his partner\u2019s apartment he knocked at the door.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cDoor\u2019s open,\u201d came Starsky\u2019s voice from inside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch stepped in, grocery bags under his arms, and closed the door with a kick. \u201cYou didn\u2019t lock it?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cNo, mother,\u201d mumbled Starsky from the couch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch noticed that Starsky was actually lying in the same spot as the evening before, staring at the ceiling. Wearing the same clothes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cYou\u2019ve gotta get up, buddy,\u201d he said worriedly. If Starsky was starting to let himself go, recovery was going to be slow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cNag, nag, nag,\u201d said Starsky and finally looked at him. \u201cOh, you\u2019ve been shopping. Again?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m gonna cook something special today.\u201d He placed the grocery bags on the counter, pulled out a bottle of wine to put in the fridge and started gathering cooking utensils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIf you\u2019re gonna make a mess in here, I\u2019m gonna disappear,\u201d said Starsky and swung himself up from the sofa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWhere ya goin\u2019?\u201d asked Hutch as he placed a pan on the stove.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m goin\u2019 for a run,\u201d said Starsky and went to his bedroom to change into his sports clothes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At least he\u2019s going out, thought Hutch. But at the same time he wasn\u2019t too happy that Starsky would be going out on his own in the state he was in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWant me to come with you?\u201d Hutch shouted towards the open bedroom door.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cNah. You do your thing. I\u2019ll be hungry when I get back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch raised his eyebrows and tilted his head. He then started slicing the onions. Starsky came back from the bedroom in his running shorts and a tee shirt and looked over to the kitchen area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch was fighting tears from the onions and wiped right wrist over his eyes. \u201cDon\u2019t cry, I\u2019ll be back soon,\u201d said Starsky with humour in his voice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201c\u2019Kay, see ya in a bit, be careful out there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cYes, mother,\u201d said Starsky and left the apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At least Starsky was regaining his sense of humour, Hutch thought, as he continued dicing more vegetables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/solstice.starskyhutchcalendar.net\/2020\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/divider05.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Paul Muni Special was ready to go in the oven. Hutch slid the tray in and set the timer. He laid the table, added some candles he\u2019d bought and glanced at the clock. It had been half an hour since Starsky had left. Hutch tried to keep his cool. Starsky could take an hour or so if he was really in the mood for a good run.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch decided to look for some soft music he could play on the stereo system, to calm his own nerves and to set the mood for when Starsky finally came back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He looked through the record collection. Hutch shook his head in disbelief at some of the records he found. He pulled a couple of them out but rejected the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWe really gotta have a talk about that music collection,\u201d he said out loud and snorted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Just that moment, Starsky entered the apartment. \u201cWhat?\u201d he asked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hutch jumped, he hadn\u2019t heard Starsky enter. He turned around and saw Starsky gesture at the dinner table, still standing by the door.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWhat are you\u2026 what\u2019s all this?\u201d His voice was half an octave higher.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI cooked, relax!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cHey, Hutch! You gotta take it easy with the relax talk, it\u2019s beginning to drive me mad.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m sorry!\u201d Hutch lowered his head.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAnd stop apologising\u201d, insisted Starsky.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cCome here!\u201d Hutch had walked towards Starsky and pulled him close. He put his arms around the sweaty body and pressed his face against Starsky\u2019s shoulder. \u201cMmmm. You smell nice,\u201d he whispered and could feel a tingle between his legs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m gonna take a shower.\u201d Starsky pushed away gently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAwww,\u201d said Hutch, not hiding his disappointment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While Starsky was in the bathroom, Hutch put a record on and checked the food in the oven. It was coming along nicely, he thought. They could probably eat once Starsky came out of the shower. He put his feet up on the coffee table and reclined on the couch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A little later Starsky emerged with a towel wrapped around his waist, drying his hair with another one. Hutch looked at Starsky\u2019s fit body. The broad shoulders, his hairy chest. Well endowed. His Starsky. He was proud that this man was his lover and felt that tingle between his legs again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cHey, Hutch, it smells lovely. I really appreciate all this.\u201d Starsky paused. \u201cI\u2019m starving.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWell then, let\u2019s eat!\u201d Hutch got up from the couch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019ll just put something on, back in a sec.\u201d Starsky disappeared in the bedroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cDon\u2019t do it on my account,\u201d Hutch laughed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He put on some oven gloves and carried the steaming casserole from the kitchen to the dinner table. Then he lit the candles and poured two glasses of wine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky came out from the bedroom and rubbed his hands. \u201cMan, Hutch. You\u2019ve really outdone yourself. What is it?\u201d he asked as he sat down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cThe Paul Muni Special,\u201d Hutch said. Starsky looked at him sideways. Hutch had teased him with that ever since Starsky once mentioned that his mother thought he looked like Paul Muni.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cReally, Hutch!\u201d he said dryly and began to fill his plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37\" src=\"http:\/\/solstice.starskyhutchcalendar.net\/2020\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/divider05.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cThat was fantastic,\u201d said Starsky, after he\u2019d drained the last drop from his glass. \u201cCome on, let\u2019s sit down and digest.\u201d He took Hutch\u2019s hand and led him over to the couch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They sat down, side by side, feet on the coffee table and each with one arm around the other. No one spoke or moved until the music stopped.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m gonna turn the record,\u201d said Hutch and Starsky didn\u2019t protest. He followed Hutch with his eyes and smiled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When Hutch dropped back on the couch again, he was relieved that Starsky hadn\u2019t sent him home after dinner, like he had done all week. He thoroughly enjoyed being with his lover and that was all that counted for the moment. He felt content.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky hadn\u2019t said a word since dinner but had equally enjoyed Hutch\u2019s presence. He pulled Hutch closer towards him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAre you gonna send me home tonight?\u201d asked Hutch quietly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Starsky didn\u2019t answer. They sat in silence for another eternity, even after the music stopped.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cHutch,\u201d said Starsky suddenly and took Hutch\u2019s hand. He looked deep into those blue eyes and placed Hutch\u2019s hand between his legs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cMmmmm!\u201d Hutch\u2019s smile broadened. He could feel the hardness.
