Oh my. This is so delightful. And sweet. Starsky’s buns. Yum.

  2. MatSir says:

First off – That is so sexy and romantic! I love the peek at Starsky’s rump and Hutch’s face is perfect.
Next – The skin tones and shading are fantastic, your talent just blows me away! The water’s reflections are… and some of that isn’t a reflection, is it? Even if it is, I’m seeing it differently!
Thank you x 1000, beautiful Mortmere!

    • Mortmere says:

Oh, lol, it never occurred to me there could be something else than reflections there! But of course it’s possible. 😀

Thank you for the 1000 thank yous – I forward about 800 of those to an unknown photographer, as this is a paintover/modification of a lovely 1970s photo that I saved from one of the vintage erotica blogs on Tumblr before the purge. Damn, just thinking of the wealth of vintage stuff we lost in the purge makes me so sad. Those photos weren’t necessarily great photography (or even that great erotica, seriously), but sometimes they had this incredibly beautiful quality that just makes my heart ache with a weird kind of nostalgia when I think of them now.

  3. Lisa A says:

What can I say? You’ve done it again! Just beautiful! I love the way they are tenderly holding each other. Starsky looks a little shy, but Hutch has a sweet smile. Nice tease of Starsky’s buns!! Another beautiful moment between them.

  4. Onnakarot says:

Oh that is so sweet and beautiful and perfect!
At first I only saw the love, the hug, the happiness… and then Woooooow! Starsky’s gorgeous derrière in all his wet glory. Amazing! He needs to tan that area a little bit though 😉 And I love those little drops on his back (If I were Hutch I’d happily kiss and lick them)
    Thank you!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! I think we see a bit of Starsky’s tan lines somewhere in the show, so I didn’t try to diminish the color difference very much from the original 70s photo I used as a base layer in this (must’ve been a trend then – most guys in those vintage pics I collected from Tumblr had shockingly white asses compared to the tan on the rest of their bodies…). Mind you, I think the water changes the color a bit to a cooler/lighter direction, so maybe his behind isn’t completely lily-white. 😀

  5. Hilly says:

Knockout work of art! Blows me away xxxxx

  6. Kira says:

Oh wow. Starsky’s beautiful butt. And the scars kn his back…

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! I thought for a long time whether to put those scars there at all, because I wasn’t sure a) where exactly they should be, and b) what they should really look like, but I’m a sucker for post-SR happiness (and post-SR clean-shaven Hutch, too) so I just dabbled something there to give the picture that time frame.

  7. Redlongjohns says:

This is an actual masterpiece. Firstly so sensual and romantic but then so HOT! My favourite thing are the water drops on Starsky’s shoulders

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! As I replied above to MatSir, the artistic credit should really go to some 1970s p0rn photographer who probably didn’t get much credit in his lifetime… (Though honestly, the guys in the original weren’t at all pretty. Our boys are so much prettier, so I do think I enhanced the pic. 😉 )

  8. Lauren says:

oh my goodness…I think my birthday came early this year!
It’s like looking at a little piece of heaven.
The warmth of the sun shimmering on the water, the warmth of their love and embrace, the little droplets of water on Starsky’s shoulder, and omg the scars! And Hutch’s short, fringey hair and beautiful smile! The viewer’s angle, Starsky’s butt under the water, wow, I love this so much!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you, Lauren – a little piece of heaven is what I had in mind. It is a pleasure to hear which details you appreciate in this picture. <3

  9. kat says:

Wow, very well done. It’s so sweet and sexy and pretty! Thanks for doing art for our fandom so I can enoy it.

  10. Amber Raine says:

YOU. NEVER. DISAPPOINT. This one will have me beside myself for a long time to come! Thank you oh so much.

  11. Pat says:

The previous comments have taken all my superlatives, Mortmere, but I’ll add mine, just because I’m a big fan of your artwork. This may be my favorite but I’d have to cull through all my other ‘favorites’ of yours to be sure.
I hope you don’t mind but I’ve made it into a private puzzle and expect to work it many, many times. First one coming up immediately! Thank You!

  12. Nancy Roots says:

Such a gorgeous gift to wake up to!! Mortmere, your talents are so amazing! The love you painted into this photo brought tears to my eyes. So. Much. Love.
I agree with everyone else’s comments here.
And I think I too will make this into a puzzel to work over and over and over!
Thank you for this stunningly beautiful Solstice gift! KUDOS

  13. Maria (MHE) Priest says:

No badge, no pants? No problem from me! Oh, mama! Spectacular! Especially swooned over Hutch’s leg between Starsky’s thighs. Thanks for such an incredible graphic.

  14. Bertha Trusdell says:

I love the way you do this art. You’re amazing. And I LOVE Starsky’s butt!!!

  15. silver chipmunk says:

    Very, very nice!

  16. Garrideb (Monica M) says:

Wow! What a striking, unusual angle, and such a tender pose! I can practically feel the warmth of the sunlight and the refreshing coolness of the water! Stunning!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! Though it was just a rather tame 1970s erotic photo snapped by the pool, the original had many elements that made me immediately want to turn it into S/H. (Lol, “immediately” – I started this in 2017, so it lay abandoned only for three years! Trouble with Starsky’s face, mostly.)

  17. wightfaerie says:

Wow. Stunning work as usual. You are so talented. Thank you for an amazing gift.
